Tooth Whitening
Many people today may feel self-conscious because their teeth have become yellow and discoloured. This is because over time, our teeth can become stained by certain food and drink, or because of smoking or poor dental hygiene.
Teeth whitening treatment effectively lightens the colour of the natural teeth without damaging the enamel or surface of the tooth. This treatment will give you a beautiful, natural smile that will boost your confidence.

Once your teeth and gums have been examined, we will create custom tooth whitening trays tailored to the shape of your mouth. When these are ready, your dentist will explain the procedure in detail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a risk that teeth will be damaged by whitening?
Teeth whitening can potentially damage your teeth if not done properly. Using a whitening agent that is too strong can cause the enamel on your teeth to break down, leading to sensitivity and pain. At Spires Oral Care, we ensure that our professional tooth whitening services are safe and effective, providing you with the best in professional dental care.
Does teeth whitening hurt?
There may be a small amount of discomfort associated with teeth whitening, but it is generally not considered painful. Some individuals may experience temporary sensitivity to the whitening products, which usually subsides within a few days. Our professional dental care team is here to make the process as comfortable as possible.
How long does teeth whitening last?
The results of teeth whitening can last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years. The longevity of your whiter smile depends on how well you maintain your oral hygiene and how often your teeth are exposed to staining agents. Regular visits to our professional dental care clinic can help maintain your bright smile.
Can you whiten fillings, crowns, or veneers?
It’s important to note that teeth whitening products only work on natural tooth enamel and cannot whiten dental restorations such as fillings, crowns, and veneers. If you desire a uniform smile, you may need to consider replacing your old dental restorations. Please contact us at Spires Oral Care to discuss the best options for achieving your desired results with our professional dental care services.
