Dental implants are a way of replacing missing teeth with an artificial replacement for the root and tooth, giving you the look of a real tooth. If you have lost all or some of your natural teeth, this is a great solution.
Implant dentistry offers a clinically proven and safe alternative to dentures or bridgework. The implants are small metal screws, placed in the jaw in place of a missing tooth. Once established, crowns, bridges and dentures can be fixed onto the implants, creating a natural-looking and stable restoration.
Dental implants are usually made from an inert material called titanium. The artificial replacement is placed directly into the jawbone, the bone grows to fit around the implant, holding it in place. After an appropriate interval, an impression will be taken, and after several weeks an abutment post and crown / bridge will be inserted.

How long does it take?
The treatment takes approximately seven months from the extraction of the tooth in most cases although this may vary from case to case. Usually the patient will require four visits during this time.
